BPF: Localism must support regeneration and investment

The British Property Federation has published its response to the Conservatives’ plans to localise the planning system claiming that it has no objections to localism “in principle” but that it should be implemented in order to enable “regeneration and investment”. The BPF highlights four key points which it wants policy makers to consider, including the need for clear planning guidance, training for local authority officers, innovative funding concepts including tax increment financing and amending stamp duty to encourage institutions to fund professionally managed rental developments.     I read today’s financial Times with interest I cannot understand the planning Policy of the Conservative Party this needs to be debated given ramifications upon the economy will the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats do it ?? Well done Building Futures!!!!!
